Cult classic How I Met Your Mother is finally getting a sequel and Hilary Duff has been roped in as the lead. Titled How I Met Your Father , the gender-swapped upcoming show, which will stream on Hulu, will feature the Lizzie McGuire star play the female version of the original’s lead character, Ted Mosby. According to a press release , the story will “catapult us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.” The sequel’s format will be the same as the original CBS comedy which ran from 2005 to 2014.
