President Arif Alvi’s wife Samina Arif Alvi has said that Pakistani dramas depress her. In a recent interview with Independent Urdu , the First Lady said: “I don’t watch [Pakistani] dramas. I don’t know why but they make me feel depressed.” Mrs Alvi further said that she discussed this with a few people, including some female anchors and asked them why everything in Pakistani dramas revolve around affairs and weddings, upon which she was told that such subjects garner ratings.
