Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are expecting. After weeks of fans speculating if a baby was on the way, the couple formally announced the news on social media and debuted Iqra’s baby bump. The parents-to-be announced the news on social media, sharing pictures from Iqra’s godh barai and revealing that the baby is expected to arrive in July 2021. “ Allah hamesha hi hum per meherbaan raha hai aur is baar toh uski karamnawazi bemisaal hai, ” said Yasir. “ Aulaad Allah ka khoobsurat tohfa hai. The writer-director duo – Bee Gul and Kashif Nisar – of the award-winning Darr Si Jati Hai Sila, centered on the theme of sexual harassment, are all set to bring another serial in collaboration with Hum TV. Titled Raqeeb Se , the drama has been inspired by Faiz’s poem of the same name and promises to be different from Bee Gul’s previously written dramatic works. “It was a deliberate thought-out decision,” says the writer. “I convinced myself that I do not have to write another issue-based serial, for we seem to have amplified and unwillingly exploited social issues by presenting them inconsistently for ratings. Iqra Aziz is returning to the silver screen with a new drama titled Jhooti . The drama also features her real-life beau Yasir Hussain as well as Ahmed Ali Butt, with whom she will be sharing the screen for the first time. The trailer for the drama, directed by Ramish Rizvi, was released during Meray Paas Tum Ho ‘s Episode 21 Saturday night. While the first teaser of the drama was intruiging as it showed Iqra playing a strong, resilient woman, the second teaser was the one which was problematic because it showed Iqra playing a woman who fakes being domestically abused.
