The outbreak of COVID-19 has put a halt to all social activities as a result of which events which involve large gatherings are being cancelled across the world.
Pakistan’s biggest award show the Lux Style Awards (LSA) has also been cancelled and will not be taking place this year.

Instead, the show’s budget will be redirected towards their partner Akhuwat Foundation in order to support those affected by the global COVID-19 crisis in the entertainment and fashion industry.
In an official statement, Asima Haq, the Beauty and Personal Care Director at Unilever, Pakistan said, “Over the years, thousands of people have supported and worked on making it the most coveted award ceremony of Pakistan. Today, in these tough times, we want to support the members of these industries, whose lives and jobs have been affected by the pandemic.”
The organisers further added, “While we may not celebrate LSA in all its glory this year, we will find a befitting way to recognize and award the winners of the 19th LUX Style Awards.”
