MTV VMAs 2020 was held earlier this morning (IST). We saw the who’s who of Hollywood marking some truly fashionable entries. Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, we didn’t see many guests this season. Despite that, the starry affair saw Ariana Grande, Joey King, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Bella Hadid amongst others rocking the red carpet.
As things get back to normalcy, we can’t stop ourselves from being ‘judgy’ again. Let’s analyse and decode the best and the worst dressed of this season of MTV Video Music Awards.

Machine Gun Kelly
Marking the only man on our list, we give it all to him! Megan Fox’s new boyfriend is on a roll. First off, he donned complete pink attire. His turtle neck sleeveless sweater was matched with trouser pants. Machine Gun Kelly also carried a blazer but more like a showpiece. Black asymmetrical shoes, minimal jewellery with a neckpiece and bracelet completed his look. But what caught our attention were his alluring expressions with his messy blonde her. A total snack!
Doja Cat
The American singer truly was a ‘rise and shine’ at the red carpet. She opted for a multi-coloured shimmery attire with frills at the end. Slicked back braid, a long choker neckpiece and silver hoops made her look ravishing. And yes, don’t forget out to check out the sultry back!
Lady Gaga
Usually, Lady Gaga has her own created themes. This time, she took the VMAs 2020 platform and owned it like a goddess. First off, unlike most celebrities, the Shallow singer opted for a face mask. Yes, it was her way to promote precautions amid the coronavirus pandemic. She wore multiple attires and oh my my, each one of them was drop-dead gorgeous.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande was a delightful desire. She shared her VMAs 2020 look via her Instagram post. The beauty opted for leather full sleeves top and a matching mid-thigh skirt. It had a collar neck and full sleeves. For hair, Ariana went for two high ponytails, and we all know, those suit her really well. Learn to be simple yet classy from the ‘Thank you, next’ singer.
Bebe Rexha
The ‘I’m A Mess’ singer was a sight to behold at the red carpet. She wore a blazer styled top with a deep plunging neckline. It contained laces all over it. The beauty paired her attire with just a pair of cyclic shorts. Yes, the trend which has lately been going viral. But if you want to take fashion notes on how to nail it, this is your ultimate inspiration!
WORST DRESSED – MTV VMAs
Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid is the ultimate fashionista. We have seen her pull off some most tremendous yet revealing outfits. Remember her Cannes 2016 attire? She rocked it like a pro. But this time, we aren’t so impressed. The Victoria’s Secret Model opted for a see-through top. There were patches covering her nippl*s that were designed halterneck. Another horizontal patch ran across the chest. We appreciate that the diva attempted another bold run, but we found it to be a total no-no.
Bella paired the sheer top with black pants and strappy heels. We’re not sure about rooting for the combination either.
Miley Cyrus
Miley is known for her outlandish fashion choices. This appearance was no different. Cyrus wore a sheer strapless outfit. She hid her private parts with black underwear and tube top. The silver droplets-kind patches on the dress made it look shimmery, yet unappealing. Similar material was used as a pair of gloves. There was also at thigh-high slit that the singer flaunted at the VMAs 2020. We believe Miley Cyrus can do way better!
Joey King
The Kissing Booth actress opted for a floral bodycon dress. Heavy neckpiece and red stilettos completed her look. To be honest, we wish Joey King would have experimented more. With such stylish experiments, Joey’s outfit looked too simple. We’ve even seen her do better during promotions.
