While local television channels continue to churn out the same old storylines, Indian streaming platform Zee5 has released the trailer of its second original Pakistani series Eik Jhoothi Love Story (EJLS), featuring Bilal Abbas Khan and Madiha Imam in the lead.

According to the streaming platform, the series is “a story of Salma (Imam) and Sohail (Khan) as they befriend each other online through fake profiles of Natalia and Nofil, respectively. Problems arise when their real lives intertwine as well.”
“Enjoy, as this modern relationship grows and blows from online to offline,” it adds.
Directed by Mehreen Jabbar and written by Umera Ahmed, the series promises to be a rollicking rollercoaster packed with romance, comedy and family drama and deals with Millenials’ problems of finding the perfect life partner.
Bilal, while sharing the trailer on social media, revealed that the series is “a tale of ordinary people and their sachi ‘jhoothi’ love story.”
Featuring an ensemble cast including Bilal, Madiha, Beo Zafar, Mohammad Ahmed, Kinza Razzaq, Furqan Qureshi and Kiran Haq among others, Eik Jhoothi Love Story is scheduled to premiere on October 30.
