Hadiqa Kiani believes that Pakistan is on the path to stability.
In an exclusive interview with The Current, when asked if she thinks Pakistan as a country is stable now, Hadiqa said: “[Yes] Pakistan is on the path to stability. I have all my hopes.”
“A lot of people have lost hope but I still am hopeful.”
“2020 taught me patience and resilience. Be patient, nothing happens overnight. Neither do you get fame overnight, nor do things get mended [overnight]. It takes a lot of time,” remarked the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz recipient.
She added: “It takes time to build a home but when it comes to breaking it, it happens in the blink of an eye. Pakistan is our home. It will take some time to get better from the situation it was in.”
Meanwhile, Hadiqa has recently been winning praise for her power-packed debut in Raqeeb Se as well as her qawwali Jaanay Iss Dil, which is Indo-Pak’s first-ever female qawwali.
In the same interview, when asked who she wishes to collaborate with, Hadiqa replied: “A. R. Rahman.”
“I’ve been waiting for it for a long time now,” said the singer.
