In a video message, the veteran actor shared the news and showed the room where she will quarantine for the next 14 days till her reports come back negative.
Addressing those who don’t believe in COVID, Marina Khan said: “It is very real, it is out there.”
Talking about her symptoms, the actor said she has fatigue and fever, which keeps coming and going.
Khan also urged people not go Eid shopping this year to avoid getting infected and spreading the virus.
Marina also talked about the ‘devastating’ situation in India and asked people to pray for them.
In another video, the actor again stressed the need of following precautionary measures on Eid.
“With so much death happening around us, why do we even want to celebrate?” questioned Marina.
Meanwhile, Ali Safina, who is winning hearts with his performance in Hum Tv’s Ramazan special Chupke Chupke, has also tested positive for the virus “after dodging it for almost more than a year”.
Another veteran actor Sumbul Shahid, who is also Asma Abbas and Bushra Ansari’s sister, is also battling COVID and is on the ventilator.
Pakistan is experiencing a deadly third wave of Covid-19, with the positivity rate at an all-time high. According to the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), 5112 cases and 131 deaths were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours.
