With Pakistan battling its third wave of COVID-19, authorities and the government are urging people to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Several Pakistani celebrities including Faysal Quraishi, Aijaz Aslam, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Shazia and Wajaht Rauf and Salman Mani Shaikh are leading the vaccination drive, urging their fans and followers to get their shots too.
“Full circle…second dose done. Be safe everyone, get yourself vaccinated,” said Aslam while sharing a video of himself getting the shot. h
“If you get a chance to get vaccinated, do it. It’s the only way to see the end of COVID-19,” asserted Mikaal Zulfiqar, posting a picture of himself after getting the jab.
Faysal Quraishi and his wife Sana Faysal also got received their vaccinations.
“Completely chipped. Only way to break the chain of COVID-19,” said Faysal.
Raqs e Bismil director Wajahat Rauf and his wife Shazia also received their shots.
Shazia urged people to get vaccinated to end the chain of COVID-19.
Salman Shaikh, popularly known as Mani, also posted a picture of himself getting the shot and asked his fans to guess whether he got the Chinese vaccine or the Russian one.
Earlier, many celebrities including Bushra Ansari, Nida Yasir, Yasir Nawaz, Neelam Muneer, Meera, Reema got their vaccinations for coronavirus.
Vaccinations of people 60 and above commenced on March 10 after that Pakistan started the COVID-19 vaccination drive of people in the age group 50-59 on April 21. Meanwhile, registration of COVID-19 vaccination for ages 40-49 started from April 27.
According to the NCOC, close to three million people have received their vaccine in Pakistan.
