Actor Gohar Rasheed turned to Instagram stories to post a meme endorsing a sarcastic jibe at the rooted misogyny and current plight of women in Pakistan.
A-list actor Ayesha Omar reposted the Ishqiya actor’s post, which read: “Bas ab itna sun’ne ko reh gya hai ke qabar main akeli kyun gayi?”
The recent anti-women incidents have sparked outrage nationwide.
Three incidents have been reported in Lahore, the same day TikToker Ayesha Akram was attacked by a mob of around 400 people gathered at the national monument to celebrate the country’s Independence Day.
On the work front, the Karachi Se Lahore diva will be seen next in Rehbara opposite Ahsan Khan, whereas Gohar is currently featuring in Laapata opposite Sarah Khan and Ayeza Khan.
