Indian Comedian Kapil Sharma gets a biopic titled ‘Funkaar’

A biopic film titled ‘Funkaar‘ based on the life of popular Indian comedian-actor, Kapil Sharma is in the works.

Bollywood producer Mahaveer Jain revealed the movie will showcase the journey of the artist who is a prominent name in the Indian comedy Industry.

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba will direct this film who previously directed the successful film franchise ‘Fukrey’.

Mahaveer stated “billions of people get their daily dose of dopamine, courtesy Kapil Sharma. We all need love, life, and laughter. We are proud to present comedy superstar Kapil’s untold story on a big screen, in a big way”.

The director Lamba shared his excitement by saying, “Looking forward to bringing to the audience, the story of India’s most beloved FUNKAAR. Kapil Sharma.”

Netflix also recently released the trailer of Kapil Sharma’s upcoming show titled ‘Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet’ which will premiere on January 28 this year.

Currently, he is hosting the most popular show, The Kapil Sharma Show on Indian channel Sony.
