Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone has made it to the jury of the 75th International Cannes film festival. She debuted in Hollywood film in 2017 as a main lead in the xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel.
Gehraiyaan diva took to Instagram to share her achievement with fans. The jury will be responsible for selecting films to honor them with prestigious awards.
Cannes Film festival website introduces Deepika Padukone as the internationally recognised actor, producer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur of India. She has acted in over 30 feature films with her debut in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. She also produced her films Chhapaak and 83 which she starred in too. She also set up ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’ in 2015 to remove the stigma around mental illness.
This time, the first Pakistani feature film, Joyland by Saim Sadiq is also nominated at the Cannes film festival. This film has made history by getting selected among the 14 films in the feature film category.
