Drake mourns Sidhu Moose Wala’s death, pays tribute

Drake recently shared a photo of Sidhu Moose Wala as he expressed his sympathies for his loss, while fans wish that they could collaborate on a song.

Fans of both singers were disappointed that they were unable to release a song together. “I always had a feeling Sidhu and Drake will collaborate one day because they both have Toronto ties and it would have been huge for the Punjabi music industry, it’s a sad we’ll never see it happen now,” a fan commented on Twitter.

Another said, “I didn’t even get to see that Drake x Sidhu collab or that Nav x Sidhu combo.” “As a Punjabi, I am a huge fan of Sidhu Moose Wala and had just tweeted before his death that I wanted a Drake-Sidhu Moose Wala duet.” Life is so unpredictably unexpected. His feel has always been one of my favourites.

#SidhuMooseWala is still trending at the top on Twitter:

On Sunday, May 29, unidentified assailants shot and killed Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village, Mansa district.

According to India Today, the Punjab Police had dropped security for 424 persons, including Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala, the day before.

Sidhu Moose Wala ran for Punjab assembly in this year’s election on a Congress ticket from Mansa, but was beaten by AAP candidate Vijay Singla by 63,000 votes. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently fired Vijay Singla amid allegations of corruption.

Sidhu Moose Wala ignited a controversy last month when his song “Scapegoat” and criticised the Aam Aadmi Party and its supporters. In his song, the artist labelled AAP supporters “gaddar” (traitor).

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moose Wala was born on June 17, 1993, in the Moose Wala hamlet of Mansa district. Moose Wala’s fan base numbered in the millions, and he was well-known for his rap.

Moose Wala had an electrical engineering degree. He had studied music in college and had afterwards relocated to Canada.

Sidhu Moose Wala was also renowned as one of Punjab’s most divisive musicians, openly supporting gun culture and praising gangsters in incendiary songs.
